This turn of the century cottage with exposed beams, fabrics and furnishing to reflect the charm of the property. Large garden, views over the countryside. A short stroll and watch some village cricket, walk by the banks of the River Wye. Many walks in the Peak National park. Many places of interest are within easy reach from Ashford-Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall. 'Plague' village Eyam, Blue John Caves, Buxton Opera House, Bakewell Market every Monday. Lots of activities for children. 150yrds of cottage there are 2 pubs with eating facilities, village shop. Owner maintained.

Ashford in the Water is between Bakewell and Buxton on the A6. 1 1/2 miles north of Bakewell. From the turning into Ashford you will find the Cottage 400 yards, turn right when you get to the Ashford Hotel from this corner, it is 100 yards on the left hand side. This is the road to Monsal Head.
Derby - Buxton - Manchester bus comes through the village, also Sheffield to Handley bus. Nearest railway station is 10 miles from Ashford in Buxton or 12 miles in Chesterfield.
