Bollington Well Dressing at Bollington

This ancient custom is almost only found in Derbyshire and is the art of decorating springs and wells with pictures made from natural materials. Bollington is just over the border in Cheshire but the village has been dressing wells for several years. You will find 5 dressings on show.

Opening Ceremony
Saturday 6th July 2013, 11.30am at Greg Fountain, Bollington Cross.

Visitors are welcome to watch the well in the making from 3rd to 5th July from 10am - 4.30pm at the Cricket Pavilion, Adlington Road, Bollington.
