This ancient custom is only found in Derbyshire and is the art of decorating springs and wells with pictures made from natural materials. Elmton has been dressing wells since 1984. It is a great community activity and gives a sense of prided to the people who live in this small village of less than 100 inhabitants. There will be three well dressings on show. Refreshments will be available in the School Room next to the Church on 29 & 30 June between 12 noon-4 pm.
