Bakewell Carnival Week at Bakewell
Sunday 30 June - 11am Bakewell Pudding Fell & Fun Run. 2.30pm Blessing of the Wells. 6pm Walking Treasure Hunt starting at the Queens Arms Pub, Market Square, Bakewell. £1 per Adult, children under 16 free.
Monday 1 July - 6.30pm- 8pm Raft Race Practice. The event itself is on Thursday, entry £4, limited to 150 places. Entry closes at 5pm at 4th July. Entry forms from Bakewell News, The Square, Bakewell. 8pm Darts Competition at the Wheatsheaf Hotel, Bakewell.
Tuesday 2 July - 6.30pm Children's Pet Competion on Recreation Ground. 8pm Pool Competition at the Queens Arms, Bakewell.
Wednesday 3 July - Duck Race. Starts at Bakewell Bridge 7pm. 8pm Pub Quiz at the Manners Hotel, Bakewell.
Thursday 4 July - Raft Race 7pm. Jack Russel Races 8pm on the Recreation Ground. 8.30pm Tug O War on the Recreation Ground.
Friday 5 July - Children's Sport 6.30pm. Wheelbarrow & Welly Race 7.25pm.
Saturday 6 July - Assembly of Carnival entrants at 1.30pm on the Recreation Ground. Carnival Procession at 3pm from Recreation. Road closed 3pm to 4.30pm.
Sunday 7 July - 11am Outdoor United Church Service. 7pm. Drawing the Raffle at The Queens Arms Pub, Bakewell.
