Chesterfield market is one of the biggest open-air markets in the country, selling everything from cutlery to carpets, from shirts to shoes, from pans to potatoes. Whatever you want to buy, there’s a stall selling it somewhere – it’s just a matter of finding it among all the stalls packed into the town centre.
Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays
The Market Hall is undergoing major refurbishment and, during this time, some of the traders have moved to a temporary structure in New Square (next to the Market Hall). Others are still trading from the shops on the outside of the Market Hall, and some have moved to shops in South Street.
Monday to Saturday, 9 am-5 pm
Come and experience Chesterfield’s flea market which is fast becoming one of the largest in the country. Browse around the stalls and find yourself a bargain, or maybe a priceless antique in disguise – after all, one man’s junk is another man’s treasure!
A variety of local producers come to the Farmers’ Market. A changing range of stalls include organic vegetables, rare breed meat, fish, Derbyshire honey, homemade cakes and cheese.
