One of the most effective ways we can use public transport is during holidays and breaks, when there's more time on our side.

What could be better than letting someone else take over the driving and hassle of parking, while you sit back, relax and enjoy the stunning scenery?

Peak Connections aims to make using public transport as easy as possible so you can leave the car behind. There are lots of ideas and information on these pages to show you just how easy it is to travel by bus or train to see many of the spectacular sights or visit the great attractions of the area.

Hop On...

The new Peak Connections leaflet, Hop On and Explore, is a family focused leaflet which features Bruce the Bus and Tess the Train, while the Ride and Ramble book features 20 linear walks linked with public transport.

Travel Guides

If you're looking to explore by bus or train, the Peak Connections Guides are a great way to get a flavour of attractions and places to visit within the Peak District and National Park – they also give details of how to get here using public transport.

However, there's much more to see and do across the whole of the Peak District and Derbyshire region – use the Guides to plan your own great days out in this stunning part of the UK. You'll find an overview of each Guide, together with a link to download a pdf of each.

Travel and Save

Many of the guides give discounted entry to top attractions for visitors arriving by bus – simply cut out the voucher in the guide and present it at the admission point, accompanied by a bus ticket for the day of the visit. Please see the individual guides for participating locations.
