Welcome to our Industry Information Page for Spookyshire!

Welcome to Spookyshire

Bewitching fun for all the family is promised in a fascinating brew of events being brought to the boil for the autumn half-term break in the Peak District and Derbyshire.

Everything from ‘creepy’ stately homes to campfire ghost stories will transform the area into spine-chilling ‘Spookyshire’ over nine days from October 24 to November 1, in an entertaining extravaganza co-ordinated by VPD&D.

And your business could be a big part of the campaign. If you run family-friendly self catering, guest house, hotel or lodge accommodation, put together an overnight stay or short break during Spookyshire, and we’ll promote it free of charge.

Get in touch with your suggestions and we’ll list details on our Spookyshire web pages and in other publicity material. Breaks could include a fancy dress evening meal or ghost stories around the fire, a special Hallowe’en event or themed menu – but you’re sure to have plenty of ideas of your own.

Send them as soon as possible to VPD&D’s Head of Marketing, David Thornton, at david.thornton@visitpeakdistrict.com

If you decide to take part, you’ll soon be able to download leaflets, posters, stickers and e-marketing banners to remind your guests that a return visit during the festival would be a ‘spookily’ good idea.

Look out for further details in future issues of our Industry e-newsletter and see the main website feature.
