Applications are now being invited for the 2012 VisitEngland Awards for Excellence. Since the demise of East Midlands Tourism earlier this year, the regional rounds no longer exist, and instead you will be invited to submit applications direct into the National round.

To mark the new scheme the awards title has been changed from EnjoyEngland to VisitEngland Awards for Excellence. The VisitEngland categories remain the same as in previous years, the only differences that you will encounter this year are that with the absence of the regional awards your application will go immediately to the Nationals and these applications will be submitted on-line.

The application area of the new website www.visitenglandawards.org is now live, allowing you a 4 month window for submitting your application. The closing date for all applications will be Friday 6th January 2012 with finalists being notified early April 2012.

The Award ceremony will take place on Tuesday 22nd May 2012, venue as yet to be confirmed
