The Duchess, released on September 5th 2008Young and beautiful, Georgiana Spencer married the fabulously wealthy Duke of
Devonshire in 1774. Famous not only for her beauty and sense of style, she was also renowned
for her unusual marital arrangements, political campaigning and addiction to gambling.

Keira Knightley plays the leading role in this story of Georgiana’s fascinating life. Filming
took place in the Peak District and Derbyshire at
Chatsworth, the real home of the Dukes of Devonshire, as well as
Kedleston Hall, which stood in for Althorp, her family home.
