The Peak District Walking Festival
(19th-27th April)
The Peak District Walking Festival is one of the largest and most varied festivals in the country, with more than 100 walks led by expert and knowledgeable guides, from National Park Rangers and archaeologists to ecologists and ghost hunting experts!
 
All ages and abilities are catered for and you can now also try new challenges with an introduction to rock climbing or caving, or take part in one of the guided cycle rides.

Walk 2 Discover – the Peak District's Historic Border Country Walking Festival
(27th-30th June)
There are over 40 walks taking place during the Festival period, with a walk to suit every ability. Will include the 34 mile Chesterfield Round Walk, which will be walked over four days and will give visitors to the area the opportunity to take in some of the areas historic attractions including Sutton Scarsdale Hall, Heath Church and the Chesterfield Canal.
 
 

 
Autumn Footprints – the Amber Valley and Erewash Walking Festival 
(13th-28th September)
Autumn Footprints takes place annually in September. Lasting 16 days, with a wide variety of walks from between one and fifteen miles, choose from different themes including natural history, local heritage, rivers and canals or towns and villages. You can even learn the finer points of map reading to help you on your way!
