Key roles:
Advising the Visit Peak District & Derbyshire Board on all matters of policy and strategy, providing leadership and managing relationships with stakeholders and the successful delivery of the Destination Management Plan.

David Bourque - Head of Marketing

Key roles:
Developing the marketing strategy, the main aims of which include increasing and spreading the value of visitor spending while minimising any negative impacts to the destination.
 
Co-ordinating the delivery of the marketing plan with the teams based in Buxton and Derby. The plan is based upon five building blocks including research, product development, branding, e-marketing, and partnership marketing.
 
Developing and managing major campaigns in support of these aims, including current campaigns such as movie tourism, themed short breaks and independent short breaks based around the main Peak District & Derbyshire Visitor Guide and www.visitpeakdistrict.com.

Key roles:
Implementing and managing The Peak District and Derbyshire Destination Management System (DMS) on behalf of funding partners, working with the Derbyshire Local Authorities and the system supplier. Developing the system and working closely with 'users' (including DMP staff, Local Authority staff and Peak District and Derbyshire Tourism Businesses) to ensure that appropriate training is delivered and that partners are kept up-to-date with existing and new opportunities within the DMS.
 
Working with partners and businesses to ensure that data is entered correctly onto the system and that data is presented correctly on websites and in Tourist Information Centres. Acting as Data Steward for Visit Britain - liaising between partners, users and Visit Britain to maximise the benefits of nationally and internationally promoted websites.

Supporting the DMS Manager in all aspects of the Destination Management System to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the system.

Key roles:
Dealing with journalist enquiries and visits, organising itineraries for domestic and international, familiarisation visits, and providing editorial and images for press coverage. Liaising with external PR company, East Midlands Tourism and VisitBritain press offices, as well as with location managers, film and other media organisations. Sourcing new photos, planning shoots and booking models.

Key Roles:
Managing marketing campaigns to promote the area and benefit the local economy, including the management of publications such as the Peak District & Derbyshire Visitor Guide, as well as advertising and product development such as short break packages.

Key roles:
To develop and implement a commercial development plan for Visit Peak District and Derbyshire. Works closely with the Marketing Team to develop marketing and advertising opportunities and sponsorship packages. Develops commercial opportunities on the website and through e-marketing. Builds relationships with key accounts within the Peak District and Derbyshire and other non-tourism partners including regional and national commercial companies and the media.

Key Roles:
Developing and managing editorial and visual content on the Visit Peak District website, including the creation of new features, articles, news pieces and imagery etc. Developing and managing a programme of e-marketing, including the creation of e-shots, affiliate marketing with third party websites, developing and managing the e-marketing database.
 
Developing and managing the PD&D image library for use on the website, in publications such as the Peak District & Derbyshire Visitor Guide and external travel publications.

Rebekah Hall - E-Marketing Assistant

Key Roles:
To assist the E-marketing Manager to develop and manage the editorial and visual content on the Visit Peak District & Derbyshire website and assist with the re-development to meet commercial income opportunities and latest web technology. To collate the website statistics on a monthly basis and to benchmark and monitor e-marketing activities. Also to manage the photo library, assist the growth and cleansing of the customer database and support the marketing team with its delivery of campaigns. Produce the e-newsletter and develop any e-marketing activities. Liaison with the DMS Support Officer to ensure content and functionality of the destination management system.

Key Roles:
Championing the Quality initiatives of the DMP, which focus on enabling people working in tourism to improve their standards to visitors. Delivering the quality improvement programme from East Midlands Tourism, which includes increasing participation in quality assurance schemes for accommodation and attractions.
 
Implementing and maintaining an inspected-only policy as a condition of business promotion from Visit Peak District and Derbyshire, organising quality awareness days, awards, training and delivery of specific quality projects.

Kate Kearns and Lindsay Rae - E-commerce Project Managers

Key Roles:
Delivering a European Regional Development Funded (ERDF) project within specific postcode areas in the rural Peak District.
 
Engaging with accommodation providers who employ less than 250 people within the tourism sector with the aim of leading providers to become quality accredited. Introducing the benefits of involvement with the Visit Peak District & Derbyshire and the Destination Management System through visits, workshops and networking events.
 
Supporting providers to use e-commerce to expand and increase their business, working towards the provision of ‘real-time’ booking for their customers.
