Mayor of Chesterfield Opens Doors on Historic Hall

The new Mayor of Chesterfield, Councillor Fred Quayle, officially opened a luxurious six bedroom development at the historic Ringwood Hall Hotel in Chesterfield on 22nd May 2008.
 
The conversion of the old servants' quarters into six bedrooms includes three feature rooms named after descendants of the Markham family, former owners of Ringwood Hall. The three suites - Charles Markham, Fleur Markham and Rosa Paxton - are furnished to an exceptionally high standard and provide king size beds, plasma flat screen TVs with free view multi channel selection, desk area with hospitality tray, feature baths and wi-fi internet access.
 
Mayor Fred Quayle, on opening the £450k development, said: "The investment in the restoration and conversion of this magnificent part of Ringwood Hall is not only a great asset for the hotel but is an important landmark in its history. I'm sure it will be a delight for anyone who stays here and wish the hotel the very best in its continued success in attracting tourists and corporate business to Chesterfield."
 
The 70 bedroom Ringwood Hall Hotel now boasts 14 feature rooms which are extremely popular with guests, especially for wedding parties, special events and Christmas parties.
