Tram enthusiasts all over the country will be poised to make their bid for an
unforgettable experience, when a new, and eagerly anticipated, eBay auction goes
live from 1st October.
Crich Tramway Village - home to the National Tramway Museum - has been asked
to take part in the very first TopLots - an auction where the UK’s museums, galleries
and heritage attractions go online with unique experiences and ‘behind the scenes’
activities up for grabs!
The Auction, which begins on 1 October, and is open for bids throughout the month,
will feature around 200 lots and is sure to entice plenty of bidding action with
a whole range of experiences on offer from the UK’s extraordinarily diverse heritage
sector.
Crich Tramway Village has three lots in the auction, they are:
• A VIP Vintage Tram Driving Day including lunch with the Tramway Museum
Society President
• A VIP Corporate Tram Driving Day for up to ten people
• A Day in the Restoration Workshop
Commenting on the Crich Lots, Marketing Manager at the Tramway Village, Cara
Marchant said: "We are delighted to be taking part in TopLots and hope that the
three lots we have put forward will capture people’s imagination. They really
will give the winning bidders a chance to get right to the heart of things in
the Village and leave with some very special memories."
Alongside the Crich lots in the auction will be offerings from museums large
and small, historic houses and heritage properties from all regions. Privileged
access, exclusive experiences, and unique memories to treasure will be on offer
– ideal gifts for enthusiasts with a passion for their subjects and unusual corporate
events and family outings.
Thanks to eBay for Charity the money generated by the bids will go directly to
the organisations taking part (less a small admin charge) to help with their work.
