Philip and Vivien Taylor, Underleigh House - EMT Enjoy England Excellence Gold Award Winners, 2006Entry for the East Midlands Enjoy England Excellence Awards 2007 has now closed
and shortlisting is currently under way to find this year's winners - due to be
announced at the prestigious Excellence Awards ceremony later this year!
The annual awards recognise and reward the commitment of those outstanding tourism
businesses who offer customers a high quality experience and who help make the
East Midlands attractive to visitors.
These highly valued awards not only promote individual business excellence but also
encourage higher standards and performance, both for your business and the region.
Winning an Enjoy England Excellence Award - the industry’s ‘Oscar’ - also guarantees
valuable media exposure and greatly increases potential for marketing opportunities.
Crich Tramway VillageGold county winners last year included
Underleigh House in the Hope Valley (above) in the Bed and Breakfast category and
Crich Tramway Village (left) in the Marketing Excellence category. Peak District and Derbyshire tourism
businesses also won five silver and four bronze awards in 2006.
Regional gold winners have the chance to be voted ‘England’s Best’, if successfully
short-listed for the national competition. Recent national winners from the East
Midlands include Rockingham Castle (Small Visitor Attraction, 2006), Shardaroba
Caravan Park (Caravan Holiday Park, 2005) and our own Peak District Farm Holidays
(Tourism Website, 2005).
