Do you work in a permanent customer-facing role in Hospitality, Leisure, Travel
or Tourism?
Do you believe you have the qualities to achieve great things in your career?
Would you relish the opportunity to fast-track your career with a career development
grant and the incredible experience of winging your way to the world famous Ecole
Hoteliere de Lausanne for a weeklong Lausanne Executive Education - Summer Programme
in 2008?
If the answer is YES and you are under 30 by 19th May 2008, then you need to enter the Olive Barnett Award.
The Olive Barnett 2008 Award Challenge is in two stages:
Stage 1:
Submit a 500-word essay answering the following question:
"Climate change, the environment, 'going green' and being a 'good' employer,
are increasingly on everyone's agenda, if you were asked to put together a strategy
for your company to embrace these issues as part of a Corporate Social Responsibility
programme, what would your top four priorities be and why?"
Explain how you would ensure that you were balancing the interests of the business
with a more altruistic approach, particularly how you would demonstrate value
to the customer?
An up-to-date CV and an employer reference or testimonial must accompany your
entry.
Stage 2:
Eight finalists will then be invited to a judging dinner and to make a careers
presentation to the judging panel on 18 & 19 May 2008 at The Langham. One
winner and two runners up will be chosen from this shortlist, and the winners
will be announced at a presentation evening on the 19th May at Claridge's.
