Quality & Skills Advisory Panel

Terms of Reference 

The Quality and Skills Panel aims to give information and advice on quality and skills relevant to tourism businesses within the Peak District and Derbyshire. 
  • To encourage more businesses to participate in National Quality Assurance Schemes (NQAS) eg Quality in Tourism (QIT for Visit Britain), AA (Automobile Association) and Visitor Attraction Quality Assurance Service (VAQAS)
  • To provide a strategic steer to the tourism industry for skills and quality delivery
  • To facilitate a coordinated position on potential legislation that might impact on the tourism industry
  • To coordinate and promote a logical approach to the management of Skills delivery in the Peak District and Derbyshire by acting as a forum
  • To enable a combination of tourism businesses and skills training providers to be represented on the panel to provide a link to key providers and quality initiatives to proactively engage the tourism industry
The Panel is advisory and has no regulatory role within this group.
