Scores of ‘spooktacular' events are set to send shivers down the strongest spine and freak out the whole family during our new autumn festival of fun, Spookyshire, which runs from October 24 to November 1.
Blood-curdling events ranging from Hallowe'en half-term fun at Chatsworth to Hallowe'en Happenings, a Green Hallowe'en Funday and Hallowe'en Horrors at National Trust properties across the area are bound to set pulses racing.
Other haunted happenings during the week include a ‘Hallowe'en Spooktacular' including fireworks at Gulliver's Kingdom in Matlock Bath, Starlight Hallowe'en at Crich Tramway Village, a Pumpkin Party at Calke Abbey and a magical Garden of Light in Queens Park, Chesterfield.
Sporty spooks can enjoy Kids Fun Activity Days at Swadlincote Ski & Snowboarding Centre in the National Forest and ‘Horsey Hallowe'en' events at Ladybooth Equestrian Centre in Edale.
Attractions, activity and accommodation providers across the Peak District & Derbyshire are also joining in the fun and some have arranged special events and promotions including spooky treats, home-made pumpkin pie, bonfire and firework displays, ghost walks and even a murder mystery dinner party game!
