What's On in the Peak District and Derbyshire

A great range of events in spectacular settings!

Whatever your interest, you'll find a huge range of events to choose from in the Peak District and Derbyshire, from sheep dog trials and country shows to farmers' markets, art exhibitions, music festivals, culinary demonstrations and much more.

Scores of ‘spooktacular' events are set to send shivers down the strongest spine and freak out the whole family during our new autumn festival of fun, Spookyshire, which ran from October 24 to November 1 2009 and will be around the same time in 2010.

Following increasingly successful events in 2007, 2008 and 2009, Derby Festé is becoming a central event in Derby’s cultural calendar, bringing the whole city out on the streets for three days of fantastic events. Festé is produced by Arts Agenda and several of Derby’s key arts organisations: Déda, QUAD and Derby LIVE, with sinfonia ViVA and Derby Jazz.

Don't miss the regular concerts and other events at stately homes such as Chatsworth or Calke Abbey, the excellent programme of international artists at Buxton's famous Opera House, the annual food fair and historic re-enactments at Bolsover Castle, or Ashbourne Shrovetide football, where the goals are three miles apart and the 'players' number in their hundreds per side!

Go mad in March and do something you've never done before!
