The Peak District & Derbyshire stretches from the dramatic moorland and breathtaking landscapes of Britain's first National Park to the ancient oaks of the National Forest in the south of the county.
The region has a fascinating historical, cultural and industrial heritage and is home to some of the country's finest stately homes, enchanting market towns and picturesque villages – providing a superb backdrop for your conference as well as offering delegates the opportunity to relax and explore this stunning part of England.

Derby
Derby is a vibrant, historic city with a great range of conference venues, high quality accommodation, food and entertainment options, cultural events and excellent shopping facilities. The UK's most central city, six million people live within an hour's drive and 80% of the country's population live within two hours drive!
Acknowledged as the home of the industrial revolution, Derby is one of only five cities in the UK with a UNESCO World Heritage site in its city centre. Only 15 minutes drive from the stunning countryside of the Peak District National Park, the city today leads the way in high technology employment.
The city's location right at the heart of England means that road and rail connections are excellent, too – the M1, M6, M42, A38 and A50 are close by, while direct inter-city trains run from all major cities including London, Bristol, Birmingham, Leeds, Edinburgh, Oxford, Cardiff and Southampton.
Air travel into the region is also well served, with Manchester and Birmingham within easy reach and East Midlands Airport just a short drive from the city centre – there's also a regular shuttle bus service to and from the airport.

Derbyshire and The Peak District
The north west of the county is home of Britain's first national park, The Peak District National Park, which features rolling hills and limestone dales, dramatic heather moorland and gritstone cliffs, stately homes and classic country villages and towns – the perfect place to hold a memorable event where you and your delegates can also enjoy the scenery and relax.

National Forest
In the south of the county, the National Forest is a forest in the making, blending new and maturing woodland within a wide variety of landscapes with business opportunities in its development and transforming 200 square miles of central England. Recognised by inward investors, this is a rapidly growing part of the country and is attracting high profile national and international businesses.

The Peak District's Historic Border Country and the Amber Valley
In north east Derbyshire, the Amber Valley and Historic Borders feature busy and historic towns and peaceful scenery. Situated just a few miles from the M1, Chesterfield is home to the famous crooked spire church and has regular markets and festivals, while the Amber Valley was once the hub of the industrial revolution. The area's towns, include Belper and Alfreton offer further venues and accommodation options.
