Lafarge Cement UK

Lafarge Cement UK’s Hope Works is pleased to be sponsoring Visit Peak District and the Walking Festival for a second year.  As a company we are committed to supporting the communities around our operations.  Last year’s Lafarge quarry walk was a great success.  As a result of the 2009 walk being oversubscribed, we will be offering two events as part of this year’s Festival – these walks will give visitors an insight into the workings of our quarry, as well as an education in our restoration projects and commitment to encouraging biodiversity.  We wish the Walking Festival organisers every success with the 2010 programme.
