Sterndale is a self catering, three bedroom stone terraced house sleeping six situated at the end of a quiet cul de sac in the old market town of Buxton. The whole house has recently been modernised and is well equipped. Sterndale is a family friendly place containing a travel cot, a booster chair (makes into a high chair), a fire guard, etc. and a public park is only 50 metres away. There is a kitchen/diner, a living room, a bathroom with bath and separate shower cubicle, a double bedroom, a single bedroom and a bedroom with three single beds.
Shops, pubs and numerous eating outlets are within a quarter of a mile. The town centre with its Opera House (theatre), gardens and shops is only half a mile away.
Buxton is ideally situated as a base for visiting the Derbyshire Peak District with its varied attractions to suit all tastes. There are many lovely walks from the challenge of Kinder Scout to the level paths of the Monsal and Tissington Trails. Within fifteen miles are such places of interest as Chatsworth House, Hadden Hall, Bakewell, Eyam and well dressings.
Short break bookings are sometimes available.

“Superb location and base for our stay”
The house was comfortably furnished, very clean and neutral decoration. The kitchen was better equipped than my own. Beds were not only clean but also very comfortable. Location was great, a short walk from the town centre and many facilities. We all loved our stay and even the youngest, 3 years old, loved it and we would not hesitate to book another stay at the property in the future. Overall excellent.

By car, drive along Dale Road (B5059) the road that links the Ashbourne Road (A515) with the Bakewell Road (A6). Dale Road is just under half a mile from Buxton town centre. New Market Street is off Dale Road and is the second turning on the right from the Ashbourne Road. It is the fourth turning on the left if coming from the A6.
New Market Street is the turning between Buxton Tandoori and St Mary's Church.
