This historic building is situated in the heart of the Derbyshire Dales village of Tansley, 1½ miles from the spa town of Matlock, on the south eastern border of the Peak District National Park, ideally placed for all the Peak District and Derbyshire Dales. Tansley offers some splendid walking country, Chatsworth, Haddon Hall, The Heights of Abraham and Cable Cars, Peak Rail, The National Tramway Museum, Blue John Cavern and a host of other outstanding attractions are all within easy reach.

Take A6 to Matlock. At Crown Square take the A615 signposted Alfreton, Tansley and the M1. After approximately a mile, pass the Royal Oak Pub on your left hand side. Take the next left after the pub into Church Street. Continue 1/4 mile and take the left fork on to the Knoll immediately after the bus shelter. Yew Tree Cottage is the 2nd entrance on the right.
