PEAK DISTRICT BREWERIES

Amber Ales

Established in 2006, Amber Ales is named after the Amber Valley in Derbyshire in which it is located. The brewery produces award-winning ‘modern’ real ales, that are full of flavour but follow traditional methods of production. The aim is to produce beers with a balance of flavours and hop aromas rather than just bitterness and these appeal to a wider audience not just the traditional real ale drinkers. There are four beers in the core range as follows, plus various seasonal specials:

Amber Pale (4.4% abv) - Easy drinking pale ale double hopped with Goldings hops

Original Stout (4.0% abv) - National SIBA award winning traditional stout with liquorish and roasted flavours

Colonial IPA (5.1% abv) - Tasty IPA with toffee malt balanced by some big hop flavours

Imperial IPA (6.5% abv) - Big on malt, big on hops, this is the Imperial one!

All beers are available in bottle conditioned form and are supplied with tasting notes.

Brampton Brewery

After an absence of more than 50 years Brampton Brewery was re-born in the winter of 2007.  A small team of local enthusiasts, led by head-brewer Chris Radford, re-established Brampton just a stone's-throw from the birth place of the original brewery.  Brampton Brewery is proud of its range of four meticulously brewed cask-conditioned ales, which are supplemented by seasonal and festival specials throughout the year.

Golden Bud (3.8%abv) - Light, golden and hoppy.  Complex malt character ensures it drinks beyond its abv.

Brampton Best (4.2%abv) - Standard session bitter, brewed using quintessentially English malt and hop combinations.

Impy Dark (4.3%abv) - Packed to the gunwales with roasted coffee and chocolate aroma and flavours, carefully and delicately hopped to balance the beer.

Wasp Nest (5.0%abv) - A premium bitter with a sting in the tale, the Wasp is mellow and smooth but with a gentle nudge you'd expect from a 5% bitter.
