The White Peak

The White Peak is made up primarily of limestone with flat plateaus divided by valleys and dales and areas of woodland, in the spectacular setting of the Staffordshire and Derbyshire Peak District. With Dovedale at the core of the White Peak, it’s easy to see how this are became the place of inspiration for centuries of artists, poets, and ramblers to visit, and still is today. An abundance of attractive villages and towns are connected by narrow valley roads and an epitome of the Derbyshire Peak - the dry stone wall - marks out fields and territories in this part of the region, forming an eye-catching combination of white walls and bright green grass as you travel around.
