The accommodation, originally built as a separate annex to our house, is on one level, and offers home comforts to a high standard, having been recently redecorated. As its name suggests, it has a south facing private patio/garden. We greet you personally on arrival as we are on site-plus tea tray and home produced eggs!
We are situated on the edge of Youlgrave, close to the village amenities, inns and numerous walks including the Limestone Way. Also close are Haddon Hall, Chatsworth, Bakewell, Buxton, Ashbourne and Matlock. Numerous maps, guides, walks and local literature are available.
There is ample driveway parking close to the accommodation, which offers a double bedroom, living/dining room, well equipped kitchen and shower room/toilet. A feature of the living room is the success to the garden-enjoy the sun and views across the dale 9weather permitting!). Old stone troughs are a feature of the garden, along with old farm equipment - an old plough, cheese press and root cutter.
Being mostly on one level, visitors with mobility problems are welcome. Please phone for more information. As an extra, a camp bed is available.

Turn right off the A6 approx 3 miles south of Bakewell onto B5056 signposted Ashbourne and Youlgreave. Keep on this road, bearing right at Ashbourne turn off. This will take you past Shining Bank Quarry, through Alport and up into Youlgreave. New Road is the first turning on the left just before the garage. Sunnyside is the fifth house on your right - part of Falkland House. Just come in and park on the drive.
Nearest railway station: Matlock (8 miles). Regular bus service from Bakewell.
