For the first time in the Tropical Butterfly House’s history there will be two Halloween Fright Nights going ahead this Halloween.

Taking place on Saturday 29th and Monday 31st October, from 6:30pm – 10pm; visitors will have the rare opportunity to see the Butterfly House at night, making the ghoulish tractor trailer ride extra spooky!

There will also be the opportunity to meet the Wizard’s Pets in the Butterfly House, and the Witch’s Owl!
Spooky crafts, face painting and pumpkin carving will be available in the Activity Centre, and for the energetic there will be a disco and fancy dress competition in the Disco Room.
Don’t forget to visit the new Witch’s Cottage, and the super scary Haunted House!

During the events the Tropical Butterfly House will be raising money for their chosen winter charity; SWCC Hedgehog Hospital.
The money raised will go towards helping orphaned, injured, sick or underweight hedgehogs, with the aim of releasing them back into the wild. The hospital admits around 600 hedgehogs a year, a single hedgehog can cost the Hospital in excess of £100 if an x-ray and small operation is required, therefore donations like this are vital.

Visitors can also take advantage of the Halloween themed Afternoon Tea offer, £34 for two people including admission to the wildlife centre, served from 11am - 3:30pm throughout weekdays in October, £38 at weekends. Booking in advance is required, please phone 01909 569416, extension 24. Beware; the Afternoon Tea will be extra spooky for Halloween!
