What was it like to live and work in Richard Arkwright’s Cromford? This workshop is aimed at children aged 7-11 and their families. Children will have the opportunity to dress up in millworkers’ costumes before stepping back in time and learning about the jobs in the mills and the way of life of both children and adults in Georgian times. There will also be the chance to have a go at carding and signing an indenture to take away.
