From Matlock town centre take the A615 towards Alfreton. Continue for approximately 1.5 miles, then after the Royal Oak Pub, on your left, turn left to Tansley (Church Street). Carry on through Tansley village, past churches and playground. Turn left immediately before the Gate Pub in to the narrow lane ( Oaksedge Lane). keep going along this lane then bear right into Foxholes lane and continue up the hill. After approximately 500 yards turn left into Lair Barn.
