Eyam Moor Stone Circles
Eyam Moor is the location for one freestanding and two embanked stone circles. Most of Derbyshire's circles are usually small, but one of the largest is Eyam Moor, which is 29.9 metres in diameter. Wet Withens is a large embanked stone circle in the centre of Eyam Moor. It consists of ten standing stones, set in a bank of 31 to 29.5 metres in diameter. Most now lean at quite an angle but all, when upright, would have been under a metre tall.

From the M1 take the Chesterfield exit and then follow signs for Bakewell. Take the right turn at the second large roundabout, past the church, and follow the road to the crossroads at Calver. Travel straight ahead, through Stoney Middleton, and then look out for signs to Eyam village on the right. The circle is quite difficult to locate as it is out on the open moor, map reference SK 226790.
