Phil lives just outside the Peak District National Park in the lovely bustling town of Chapel-en-le-Frith. As a keen walker and lover of the outdoors he feels blessed to live where he does. The view from Phil's home is of South Head and the Western edge of Kinder Scout and this vista quite literally draws him into the hills.
"I see this view every day and I have never grown tired of it, the subtle changes produced by the changing seasons, weather and light fascinates me.
I have had a very keen interest in photography which has grown particularly over the last 5 years. Over the years I have met some great photographers and become completely inspired and I now could not be without photography in my life.
Landscape photography is the perfect partner to walking and this allows me to record my wanderings, but importantly for me being able to share the joy of the countryside via the medium of photography fills me with pleasure. Now, through experience, and help from those photographers who have inspired me, my wanderings have been modified so that I am in the right place at the right time to capture scenes at their best."
