Little Longstone

A very pretty hamlet between Great Longstone and the famous viewpoint at Monsal Head.

The grey limestone cottages are a riot of floral colour in the summer in this quiet little place three miles from Bakewell. There are some fine old buildings, including the Manor House and the unusual Victorian chapel.

Things to do; On the popular Monsal Trail, Little Longstone is at the heart of some fabulous countryside. The delights of Monsal Dale and the river Wye are nearby and there are good paths up to Longstone Edge. Well Dressings are held annually in July. The Packhorse is a very fine 16th century inn, but no other visitor facilities, nearest villages see Great Longstone and Ashford in the Water.
