A small hamlet in a fold of the scenic limestone uplands north of Tideswell.
A pretty little spot, just a few farms and cottages surrounded by fields that show remnants of former lead mining days. There are fabulous views over to Bradwell Edge and Bretton, where the gliders at the Derbyshire and Lancashire Gliding Club take to the air. It is a peaceful place, off the main road but handily placed for touring the wider Peak District.
Things to do; There are some good walks in the area and the tourist attractions of the Buxton, the Hope Valley and Castleton are not far away. There is a very fine old country inn, The Bulls Head, but no other visitor facilities, nearest villages see Bradwell and Tideswell.
