Directions

see location on Google mapssee location on Google maps.     Map reference: SK 258476 Lat: 53.02533  Long: -1.61663

The village of Hulland Ward is located on the A517 road which links the towns of Belper and Ashbourne. Belper to Ashbourne is 11 miles and Hulland Ward is approx half way between the two of them.
Fron Ashbourne take the A517 for 5 miles until you come into the village of Hulland Ward, continue through the village past the garage and spa shop which will be on your right. You will then see the Black Horse Public House in front of you situated on a staggered crossroads, turn left here just before the pub into Moss Lane.
Carry on down Moss Lane for
approximately 1/3rd of a mile until you see a lightly wooded area on your right, the road then veers gently to the left and then round an upwards sloping right habd bend. After about 50 metres the road bends sharply to the left. Between these two bends on the right hand side is a red brick farmhouse called Hillside Farm, and The Old Dairy is next to it.
In front of these two private residences is a straight drive. Looking down it you will see two stone gateposts with lights on the top. This is the entrance to Hillside Croft-if you come to a small triangular island in the road then you have gone past the cottage.

There is a payphone at the cottage should some of your party need to contact you-this is 01335 370909.
