Details

A quiet remote village close to the river Dove in some beautiful countryside.

6 miles from Ashbourne, Roston is an ancient little settlement with some good-looking old buildings. It is associated with author George Eliott and is said to be the setting for much of his book Adam Bede.

Things to do; A peaceful little place, Roston is near the more frantic Alton Towers, it makes a good base for touring the southern peak area. There is an inn on the lane leading to Norbury, for other facilities see Ashbourne.
