Hulland Ward Village at Hulland Ward

A village on the A517 midway between the Ashbourne and Duffield with extensive views over south Derbyshire and Staffordshire.

Hulland Ward forms the centre of a number of small hamlets such as Hulland Village, Hulland Moss, Millington Green and Biggin by Hulland. It grew as a residential village from smaller agricultural settlements in the second part of the 20th century. In recent times gravel works and cement production have provided employment, whilst the smaller hamlets remain little changed down the years.

Things to do; A spiders' web of footpaths runs between the settlements, many with fine views. Carsington Water, with its' visitor centre, water sports and wildlife sanctuary is just a short distance away.
