A tranquil village of great charm set in rich farmland.
3 miles east of Ashbourne off the A517, Bradley is found along some beautiful wooded, winding lanes that meander through gentle rolling countryside. The fine Georgian Hall stands opposite the church and the village pub is unusual by having two names, the Jinglers and also the Fox and Hounds. A curiosity can be found at Moorend, where the road appears to pass through the middle of the cottages known as The Hole in the Wall.
Things to do; Listen to the bird-song - it is usually very quiet around here. Some easy walking along field paths, there is also a wildlife conservation trail.
Ashbourne is close by for shopping and other facilities while Carsington Water is just to the north.
